Amazon Marketplace Connector for Dynamics SL

Catalina has a connector that allows Dynamics SL and Amazon Marketplace to synchronize data for

  • Synchronization of Amazon Marketplace orders fulfilled by you (the Merchant).
  • Synchronization of Amazon Marketplace orders fulfilled by Amazon.
  • Synchronizing products to be sold on Amazon based on inventory levels.
  • Coordination of inventory.
  • Order cancellation management.
Synchronization for orders fulfilled by You
Also known as FBM, these are orders that are created on the Amazon Marketplace, but then fulfilled by you (the merchant). Once shippers are generated (when items ship), a notification is sent back to Amazon with which items shipped on the order and the tracking number. Once Amazon gets this, Hotels at Home can then be paid.

Steps

  • The Catalina Connector retrieves orders from Amazon to be fulfilled by the merchant (You).
  • The Catalina Connector maps the Amazon order and saves it to Dynamics SL as a Sales Order.
  • The Catalina Connector sends an order acknowledgement back to Amazon noting that the order was created.
  • When SL creates shippers, the Catalina Connector sends shipper notifications to Amazon so you can get paid.
Synchronization for orders fulfilled by Amazon
Also known as FBA, these orders are Amazon Marketplace orders fulfilled by Amazon. When Amazon creates an order, that order information is received and created as an SL order. Once Amazon ships the order, that shipper and tracking number is received and updates the SL shipper.

Steps

  • The Catalina Connector retrieves FBA orders from Amazon.
  • The Catalina Connector maps the Amazon order and saves it to Dynamics SL as a Sales Order on hold.
  • Once Amazon ships the order from their distribution center, the Catalina Connector receives that shipment notification and updates a shipper with a tracking number, noting what has been shipped.
Coordination of Availability
If inventory levels are out of stock on Amazon, the system will switch the product to be fulfilled by the merchant. Once Amazon inventory levels are above zero, the system switches back to be fulfilled Amazon. This minimizes the risk of not selling a product.
Order Cancellation Management
A customer can cancel an order they created in Amazon in their Amazon account management. If orders are cancelled on Amazon, the Catalina Connector then cancels the SL order so that the order doesn't stay open or be fulfilled.
